Chill out Sister!

Hi there.....I've made it back to my blog for a second time this week!

I have a card to show you today, and I really do love this stamp......did you notice I said 'stamp' as in the rubber variety! WOW! I picked up this little baby from The Greetings Farm at Scrapfest earlier this year, as I just couldn't resist the 'cute factor'.

So go on............Chill out Sister's...............

Colouring today has a slight variation..........a combination of Copic's and Promarker's. Papers are from Bo Bunny's Vicki B collection (6"x6" pad), along with Dew Drops, ribbon from Michael's, doodling, Nestie's and Tim Holtz Distress Ink sponged in various places. The sentiment is printed using Word and the layout is based on a sketch from a couple of weeks ago, over at The Deconstructed Sketch.

Here's a little close up should you feel the need.............

Have a wonderful day/weekend and I'll be back sometime next week,
Jayne.x.

I Love You To The Moon And Back!

Hello there, please forgive my absence recently, but my parents flew over from England a week ago and.........well I've been enjoying their company......I don't get to do much of that!

Anyhow, of course, crafting is the thing that gets pushed aside, but I have tried to keep my hand in there a little. I don't share many scrapbook layouts on here, but I thought I would today. I have always loved this photograph of myself and eldest DD, and as it's getting quite old now, I thought it was about time I 'Scrapped' it! Here's 'Cuddles'................

Papers are from Cosmo Cricket's 'Togetherness' line and the layout was inspired by a sketch from Becky Fleck at Pagemaps, which is also the subject of a sketch challenge over on the Two Scrapbook Friends forum.

Have a great day!

You Go Girl!

Good afternoon, hope you're enjoying some beautiful weather wherever you are. I'm hopping in today with a fun little card, although I shouldn't say 'little' as it's far from it. In fact it's rather loooooong!

A couple of challenges caught my eye this week:

The first being a sketch posted by Dee over at Little Red Wagon....you know I love a sketch!

Secondly, this weeks Card Challenge on the Two Scrapbook Friends forum, is to create a 'Looooong' card, so that's what I did.

Here's one funky little Moped (not sure if that's a universal name for them or just another 'English'ism (now there's a new word!!)).........

I was trying to think of a sentiment to go with this image, and when I was routing through my stash for something else, I came across this stamp I've had for ages......couldn't have come up with anything better!

The image is one of those really reasonable mini stamps from Imaginisce I believe, coloured with Copic markers. Paper is mostly regular yellow cardstock, embossed with a Quik Cutz folder, and a scrap of leftover PP from We R Memory Makers 'Peep' line. A Nestie, Baker's twine, and button finish the job.

Here's a little close up, just in case you feel the urge to see more (lol)........

Those colours are enough to cheer anyone up, so enjoy the rest of your day......I'm hoping to!

See you soon

A huge Thank You!

Happy Friday everyone........the sun is shining....the kiddiewinks have the day off school....what could be better?

Today's card is a dose of happy and sad all mixed in together. It's an extremely sweet image from By Lori Designs of course, and that makes me happy, but it is also my last Design Team creation for the 'Oh so talented' Lori Boyd. Yes, all good things must come to an end, and this ride has been a blast. Did you know it was one of Lori's images (in rubber) that first got me started on this whole crazy colouring/card making journey? So for that, the Design Team opportunity, and the endless supply of inspiration she has given since, I would like to send her a huge 'Thank You'!

And don't worry....I'm sure you'll still be seeing a little Lollipop goodness around here from time to time.........didn't think I could stay away did ya?

Anyhow, shall we get to the good part....a card. Here she is........Lollipop Amy........

Told you she was sweet!

To prove the point, Amy will be making her way to the equally sweet, ever so patient teacher, who has nurtured my youngest daughter for the last year. Another Thank You!

So, other than Copic's for skin area's, I coloured with my Prisma pencils again.....(Oh how I missed them!) and papers are from one of the new Lime Twist 6'x6' pads from My Minds Eye. The only other additions are a Nestie, sentiment printed from Word, ribbon from Making Memories and pearls from the $$ store. I did add just enough glitter to make Amy sparkle.......here's a close up.........

One last thing, the layout for this card was inspired by a sketch from The Deconstructed Sketch......love those sketches, I'm working on another at the moment, but this one was from a week ago.

Well that's about it for today.....I'll be back next week with who knows what?
You'll have to pop back for a visit to find out!
Have a great weekend
