Happy New Year!

December 31st and another year over. I'm wishing you all a very safe and happy New Year, and hope that like me, you are looking forward to New opportunities and creations in 2012.

As we're talking about 'New'ness, my last card of the year follows a similar theme, but this one's for a new home.....

This one's a 'tri-fold' card or at least two plus a gate! Despite the fact that my hubby thinks it opens the wrong way....I'm sticking with it!

Here's the front gate, cut from patterned paper.......

.......and then the center, showing a gorgeous rubber stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs..........

I would show you the inside which reads "....in your New Home" but, ahem, I forgot to take a photograph!

I was given the opportunity recently by my local scrapbook store Two Scrapbook Friends, to play with a couple of these stamps, and they really do stamp up beautifully. As TSF are now stocking these babies, I highly recommend you go check them out.

Colouring is with Copic's today with a little added Glossy Accents, and papers are from Bo Bunny.

Have a great night tonight and a Wonderful New Year.

Take care

The last one.....I promise!

Well I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to a New Year of craftiness.

Now I know the last thing you want to see right now is another Christmas card, cause if you're anything like me you're sick of making them.....till next year of course.
However, I felt the need to post this one as it was the very last one made for the season....on Christmas Eve no less (nothing like last minute!), and the image is far too cute not to get a mention on here. It was made for my youngest daughter, who wanted to know why, if her big sister's card was put on my blog.......why wasn't hers?

There you have it.....the real reason as to why I'm posting a Christmas card on December 28th! Here's another cutie from Saturated Canary.............'Spritz'...........

I guess I do have an ulterior motive for posting this. The current challenge over on the Saturated Canary Blog is anything Christmas/Winter, so of course this will be heading there.

Colouring is with a combination of Copic's and Prisma pencils and papers are from the My Minds Eye Lost & Found (Rosy) collection.

Have a wonderful New Year, but hopefully I will be back before then.
Take care

Christmas Angel.

Is it Sunday again already? What a week. Sorry for the absence, but I've been feeling pretty unwell with a horrible throat/chest type of thing, then to make things worse, I got some sort of bug midweek which kept me in the bathroom for 24hrs! I won't go into the gory details, but needless to say, my crafting table has been gathering dust, whilst I've tried to recuperate.

This morning I feel a little more human, so although I still haven't found my way back to my desk, I thought I'd post a card I made a couple of weeks ago. It's the Christmas variety of course, and again using a gorgeous image from Krista Smith over at Saturated Canary.............I still have to have my regular fix of these sweeties! Krista is having a bit of a Christmas link up party at the moment, so this baby will be heading over there.

This is a first for me though as I took the plunge and coloured on Kraft card stock. Yes I know it's not exactly groundbreaking, but it's the first time I've actually gotten around to trying it.....call me a late developer! Anyhow I'm loving the softness of it, so here goes.............

I kept things pretty simple for this card, cause I just love this image, sweet and innocent, with just a touch of sparkle...........

Colouring is with my Prisma pencils today and I'll let you into a little secret...........a mistake shall we say! You see those lovely red and blue baubles? Well they were originally red and gold, to co-ordinate beautifully with the rest of the colour scheme, but this is what happens when you layer Glossy Accents over a metallic pencil crayon..........you could end up with any variety of colours, but definitely not the one you first intended!!

Papers are from My Minds Eye Lost & Found 2 Christmas, as is the sentiment stamp.

Have a lovely Sunday and hopefully I'll be back during the week with something new.
Take care

Socks for Christmas!!!!

Well look at me here on a Sunday! It's not that I have nothing else to do....believe me I have plenty! It's more a case of our house having a good dose of the sickies. It was either 'stay in bed and cough myself silly' or 'get up and do something useful'. So the laundry is sitting there waiting for me and I'm 'blogging'! Seems useful to me.

I do have a card for you today, but just a little reminder first, that the TSF 12 Days Of Christmas Creations Blog Hop started yesterday, and we've already had some wonderful creations from both Joanne and Audrey. Be sure to join us, if you get a chance, for a little inspiration and of course, the chance of winning a prize.

Now, onto today's card, which follows the general theme of the month...........Christmas!! This one is for all the men out there, who probably don't have these on their list, but get them anyway. Maybe it has something to do with which one of 'Santa's List's' you're on.....think about it.....................

I love these images from Pollycraft called Maurice, and they always seem to end up given to my husband........maybe he'll get socks this year too!

Maurice is coloured with Copic's and papers are from last years Bo Bunny Christmas line. There's a little glitter added to the gift box, liquid applique to his hat, and Glossy Accents to his specs.

The acetate snowflake with a nice little bit of bling, finishes things off nicely............

That's it from me, I'm off for another hot drink to try and restore a little of my voice!

Have a great day and I'll be back soon

Pretty things!

Hi there, how's it going today. This post was originally intended for 8.00am yesterday, and here we are, over 33 hours later! This is what happens when you try to cram too many things into one day. For now, I'll blame it on my desperate Christmas shopping expedition yesterday, which turned out to be semi-successful.

My card today, and here we go again...."My new favourite card" has another image from Saturated Canary. I can't get enough of these beauties at the moment, drawn by Krista Smith, and as a result of her Black Friday Sale, you'll be seeing quite a few more of them! The current challenge over on her challenge blog ends tomorrow, so here I am again, posting my entry last minute............

Now raise your hand if you would like hair like that! Gorgeous or what?

The theme for this weeks challenge is a series of inspirational photo's, but the general theme of your creation, is to be a result of whatever inspires you. So for my inspiration.......pretty things of course!

A beautiful image...........

.....together with pretty papers, ribbons, buttons, colours, stitching....you name it. As it's my new favourite card, I find it very hard to give them away (ever seen the TV show Hoarders?!!!!) But that's OK cause this one's not leaving my house. I think it will be given to my eldest daughter. Now is the time to share a little conversation we had not so long back.

After looking through my ...ahem....small collection of cards, she said to me in all seriousness "Mom, why do you never make me pretty cards?" and I replied with my patient (but silently exasperated) tone "I make you a card for your Birthday, Christmas and everything else in between" to which she replied "Yes, but they're not pretty!".

Kids...........guaranteed to give the best and most honest critique!
Well, I hope this fits the bill. Here's one last close-up of my collection of pretties........

Papers are from Authentique and colouring is courtesy of my Copic's.

Enjoy your evening and I'll see you soon

Warm wishes.

Good morning, it's a happy Friday, even if we do have snow.

I think there is something magical about December 1st, where the powers that be check their Calendar, realise we are in the last month of the year, and that we must have freezing cold temperatures with snow...........and that's what I have as I look out of my window this morning. At least it's the perfect inspiration to get into the Christmas spirit........and make a few more cards!

Today's creation was inspired by a couple of current challenges, but I'll go into those in a moment. First, let's bring her out, and you'll notice, NO sentiment, so I can't really call her anything.............

This little lady has been coloured up and sitting on my desk forevah!! Finally she has made it to a card.

The image is a digi I've had for quite a while by Kelly Kids called February Fran - Cocoa, and comes in a nice little package of different images. Unfortunately I don't think you can get it any longer, as my search on Google drew a blank!

She's coloured with Copic's and has a little Liquid Applique on her jacket to create the 'fluff', together with glitter on the ground for sparkle. The colour choice is a result of the current inspiration challenge over at The Pink Elephant, and I just have to show you the photo cause it's yummy...................

Are they not the sweetest cupcakes ever? I think if they ever made it to my house I couldn't bring myself to sample one.....far too good to look at.

So I think I pretty much covered the colour scheme, except my 'carrot orange nose' turned into........well.........red!

No-one said I was perfect!

As mentioned before, there's no sentiment on the front of this one......it's actually inside and reads "Warm wishes", which is pretty cool as it means I can use it for Christmas, Birthday or anything really. Papers are from last years 6"x6" Christmas pad by SEI, and the layout was inspired by another current challenge over at Mojo Monday...........a sketch of course.

That's it from me for today but I'll be back as soon as I can.......plenty more Christmas cards to post in the next 23 days!
Have a good one
