Smile!

Well if you scroll down you'll see that things are still not looking too good with the photo's on my blog........an understatement I know!
However, the powers that be, the important people are looking into the problem and will hopefully find a solution........this year I hope!

In the meantime it seems I'm able to post new photo's, so lets proceed, move along as though there are no giant, grey 'no entry' signs glaring at me from below.

I have a scrapbook page for you today.  Another layout using the We R Memory Keepers 'Love 2 Craft' collection.

Remember those bold colours and patterns I mentioned this collection has an abundance of?  Well this page certainly has them.

Here's 'Smile...........Because Every Picture Has A Story To Tell'.............

I was so pleased when I dug through my stash and found these photo's to use on here, as the colours work beautifully.

The layout was inspired by Susan Stringfellow's sketch #59 over at Sketch Savvy, and I do love that row of tags on there.

The title is comprised of inexpensive dollar store alpha's, which have a little faux (marker) stitching added.  They're placed on to a tag cut from another sheet of PP.

The sub-title was the perfect find on yet another sheet of PP.

The story behind these photo's is that although my girls ask to visit the butterfly conservatory every year, they're terrified of them landing on them.  Hence the 'cringed' stance of my eldest in preparation of any incoming offenders!

Both photographs are 'popped' with foam dots to create a little dimension, and there are a few layers all cut from various papers in the collection.

Chipboard hearts, twine, enamel dots and a stitched border (the real thing this time!) completes the job.

Hopefully I'll be back again this week if Blogger behaves itself and you never know, I may get my photo's back too!

Have a great day,
Jayne.x.

Oh Blogger!

Well it's not turning out to be a happy Monday!

I was going to post something at least half interesting on here but if you scroll down you'll see that ALL of my pics have disappeared....been replaced with that highly interesting grey 'no entry' sign..........aaaaaaaargh!  Gotta love Blogger and Google when they get up to their tricks.

Anyhow the upshot is I have no idea how, why, when etc and neither does anyone else by the sound of things.

Just have to sit tight, twiddle thumbs, scratch head and wait with baited anticipation for what I might eventually get to post........maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday (I hope)!

Have a great day,
Jayne.x.

Beautiful.

Time for another scrapbook layout today, again using the 'Love 2 Craft' collection from We R Memory Keepers.

I'm definitely not a 'theme' scrapbooker, so one thing I love to do is take papers from a particular theme and use them for something completely different.

Today's page is no different!

Although this collection is full of 'crafty' patterns and symbols, it's jam packed with great colours and awesome stitched details that would work for any project.

I created this page using a photo of my girls riding the 'Teacups' at Disney no less, and to be quite honest, the die cut paper and photo frame did most of the work for me.

Here's 'Beautiful'.................

I've always loved the fact that We R Memory Keepers include a super variety of die cut frames/tags in every collection.  This whole page was inspired by the 'striped' die cut frame against the black background.

The pre-printed stitched swirls in both corners called out for the 'real thing' so out came the needle and thread, and an assortment of punched flowers were added to the collection in the corner there.

A cascade of punched butterflies in the opposite direction, have bling and mini spools by Maya Road for company.

So that's all for today's page, but I'll be back next week with more goodies.

Have a great weekend,
Jayne.x.

You Make Me 'Sew' Happy.

I'm back today with project #2 from my recent Two Scrapbook Friends DT Kit, and this one's a card.

Pretty simple on my part really, as the focal sentiment is provided by a ready made die cut which is included in this 'Love 2 Craft' collection by We R Memory Keepers.  Most of the hard work done for me so I did add a little stitching to frame things (and ease my guilt!)

There's also a stitched felt heart to add to the theme, together with a couple of miniature spools of thread, pinned and wrapped with a little embroidery floss.

Toile finishes this little ensemble and the ruler was cut from a separate sheet of PP.

That's it for today so I think I'll be back tomorrow.....fingers crossed!
See you then,
Jayne.x.

One Big Kiss!

Welcome to another Monday morning.......always amazes me how quickly they seem to roll around.

It's time for another Crafty Challenge over on the Two Scrapbook Friends Forum, and for this weeks challenge I'd like to see you 'Layer It Up'!

Create a card, scrapbook page or anything really with lots of layers on there.

You can choose to layer just one item.....papers, embellies, photo's etc, or you can combine a number of things, the choice is yours.

You can also choose to layer just one area of your project or the whole thing.

For my example, I layered the whole page......nothing like getting your point across!

My page contains a variety of layers.........die cuts, stickers and tags........

trim......

flowers and punched papers.........

washi tape flowers and tags......

Papers on this page are from the Authentique 'Fresh' collection.

If you'd like to join in with this weeks Crafty Challenge, don't forget to upload your creation to the Two Scrapbook Friends Gallery and Forum by November 15, in order to collect your buttons.

That's it from me so have a great day and I'll see you later in the week,
Jayne.x.

I'm not messy....I'm creative!

Good morning, just about!

It's time for another DT reveal for Two Scrapbook Friends, using my latest kit from the We R Memory Keepers 'Love 2 Craft' line.

Not a line I would normally choose as I'm not a 'theme' scrapbooker........I've never scrapped a birthday.....is this bad?!!

However, it is a cute collection full of bold colours and patterns, and is of course awesome for those crafty pics at crops/get togethers etc.

So today I'm showing my first layout, inspired by a tag found on one of the sheets of patterned paper, and the huge mess that is usually called my desk!

I'm actually thinking this was probably a good day as it's much worse now!

So the layout itself is fairly simple although it still took forever due to the amount of stitching on there.

Then there's the drying time, waiting for the mist to do it's thing.

In retrospect, I do wish I'd have chosen another colour of mist........this one suggests I've pricked my finger one too many times with the needle, and bled profusely all over the page!

There's a little more stitching and the buttons were created from another sheet of PP, with one of those 'Shape Studio' tools from Epiphany Crafts......I love these things!  You place an epoxy overlay into the punch and it pops out a ready made embellie that matches your papers perfectly.  They come in a variety of shapes, so you might know I'm building up my own mini collection!

Well that's all folks, and I doubt I'll be visiting over the weekend as it's another busy one.

I'll be back on Monday so take care and enjoy the weekend,
Jayne.x.

80's Style!

Okey dokey I'm off for a day of scrapping today with a lovely bunch of ladies, so just time for a quick post on here.

A card and a dose of Saturated Canary goodness!  I feel as though I haven't been colouring in forever, or rather anything I have coloured hasn't made it's way on to cards.....yet!

So at last, this image (which has been sitting coloured for approx 3 months!!!!) finally makes it's debut.

'Pink'.....is she cool or what, and with a name like that her hair couldn't be any other colour!

Colouring is with Copic's and papers are from Echo Park 'Summer Days'.

I did leave the sentiment off this one for now (hence the vacant space in the top left corner!) as I'm not sure what I'll use it for.  Happily it's one of those that could be used for a number of things........'stay cool', 'chill out', 'happy b'day' etc. etc.

Well that's it for today.....short and sweet like I said but I'll be back again this week.
Have a good one,
Jayne.x.

Out Of This World!

Hello there.

It's a real miserable wet day here today, so I'm quite happy to be staying indoors.

Works out quite nicely as it's time for another Sketch Challenge over on the Two Scrapbook Friends Forum, and yours truly is here to deliver the goods.

This one's quite fun, a little quirky and has one of those 'starburst' patterns which are always popular.  There's also plenty of layers on the sketch to give you some idea's, but feel free to add as little or as much as you wish.

Here goes.........

There is the option to use one or two small photo's in place of the journalling strips, if your page requires it.

My example layout is a little wacky.....eclectic you might say........one of those where I threw on anything I could lay my hands on!

Stress free scrapbooking 101!

This photograph still makes me laugh.  It's one of those wooden cutouts where you stick your head through to pose.  Couldn't resist a little fussy cutting.

Papers here are from Authentique, and I finally dug into the Martha Stewart texture paste, which has been sitting neglected on my desk, waiting for just the right experiment!

I LOVE this stuff.........so easy (5 minute job, really!) and looks pretty cool so expect to see more of it in the future.

This is my collection of 'ephemera' (we love that word don't we Dee?!!) or if you're English, just a posh word for 'Odds and Sods'!

I also love these new metallic silver Thickers I picked up pretty cheap from Winners ( I think I'm becoming a 'Thicker addict' if there is such a thing!).........

OK so that's it for today.

If you'd like to join in with this weeks Sketch Challenge, don't forget to upload your creations to the Gallery and Forum by November 15, in order to collect buttons toward your next gift certificate.

Have a great day despite the rain, and I'll see you soon,
Jayne.x.

Autumn Colours Blog Hop with Two Scrapbook Friends!

Welcome to the Autumn Colours Blog Hop with Two Scrapbook Friends!

You should have arrived here from the lovely Sharlene's blog, but if you've happened here by chance, you may want to start at the beginning to be in with a chance of winning a prize of course!

So the purpose of today's Blog Hop is to share a little 'Fall' crafty inspiration.

I decided to go the 'Halloween' route as I hardly ever make anything for this annual holiday.  I blame it on my roots, as we Brit's are not known for going to town on this celebration.

No holding back today though, I created a 'Halloween' style wall hanging.......could possibly be the only decoration of this style in my house on the 31st, but it's a start!

I realize it may be a little difficult to see a lot of detail on here, so here's a few close-ups..............

TRICK:

TREAT:

Papers and most of the embellishment stickers on here are from Authentique's 'Enchanted' collection, which you can of course find over at Two Scrapbook Friends.
