On The Move!

Hi there, it's Friday thank goodness! I'm definitely looking forward to the weekend.

It's Scrapbook layout time today I think, so I'm dropping in with one I should have posted a couple of weeks ago, but didn't of course! It's finally making it's way out of the heap of stuff waiting to be published on my blog, so here's it's debut......On the Move...........

Isn't she cute, if I say so myself!

Sorry for the weird angle this was taken, but I kept getting glare on the photo. Also, it's only now that I realise I haven't taken any close up shots, and to be quite honest, I can't be bothered to go back and re shoot! I know, I know......lazy blogger!

Papers are from 3 Bugs In A Rug earlier in the year, one of their 'Springtime/Rainy' type of collections (I used the reverse sides) and the LO is inspired by a sketch from Pagemaps.

That's it from me so have a great weekend

I'm this many!

Nope, I'm definitely not telling how many I am, but this little card made it's way to my Nephew, and I'm sure he won't mind telling you how 'few' he is!

This image was a freebie I've had for quite a while from Torico's Digital Gallery, and I've coloured with Promarker's. Papers are from Jillibean Soup.

That's it for today....short and sweet!

See you later in the week

Popped Paper Piecing!

Now there's one I challenge you to say after a few beverages!

Today's card is a result of one of the Back To School Crop challenges, I took part in last week over on the Two Scrapbook Friends forum. This particular challenge was to create a School/Teacher themed card, so although the school year has only just begun, I thought I'd get a head start on a 'Thank You' card. As the title suggests, there is definitely some popping and paper piecing going on, so here it is...........

I like the slightly, but not too much, vintage feel to this, mainly because of the yummy new papers from My Minds Eye (Lost & Found 2). The image is a freebie I picked up a loooong time ago from Michelle Perkett, and what little colouring there is, was done with Copic's. The rest as mentioned was paper pieced. Here's a close up of that and the 'popped' apple.............

The ticket on there is actually a rubber stamp, as is the sentiment.

I may be back later with some more challenge entries, so till then, enjoy your day

Cuter than most!

Hi there.....it's Sunday and here I am.....who'd have thought it?

I wanted to pop in and post a pretty little card that I hope is travelling across the pond right now to my niece, who's Birthday was last week (me.....late again....surely not!!).
Anyhow, of course she is one of the sweetest little ladies I know, so an effort had to be made to create the prettiest, girliest card I could. I think I found the perfect image and papers to go with it, so here it is..........

Sweet!

I've always loved Gillian, this little cutie from Prairie Fairy Designs, so when I happened to win 'Top Spot' a while back (for this card in case you're interested!), it was a no brainer as to which images I chose.

Colouring this week is using....wait for it.........'Promarkers'! Yes I have added to my collection......you've gotta love In-laws who bring Promarkers in their luggage! I also added some Liquid Pearls to Gillian's necklace and earrings.

I'm also really loving the new paper collection from My Minds Eye - Lost and Found 2, and this is from the 6"x6"pad (Blush). The sentiment is one of those really reasonable $1.50 wooden stamps from Michaels.

Hope she likes it.

I'm off now to find some challenges, so I may be back later.
Have a great Sunday

My Favourite In-Laws..........

Did I mention I have my hubby's parents visiting from across the pond? Yep, another busy few weeks, but always good to have some company.

I've been trying to catch up on some scrapping of older photo's, so I thought I'd drop in with a Scrapbook page today. This particular photograph was one that was given to me, quite a while ago (by the previously mentioned 'in-laws'), so I thought I'd finally better do something with it. When I started the layout, I could not for the life of me come up with a title I liked.......probably because I didn't really have any inspirational journalling I wanted to share........I just liked the photograph and wanted to create something pretty!

Then it came to me.........'My favourite In-Laws'.

Yes, I know we could get picky and ask...."Don't you only have one set of In-laws?"

Well, yes.....but that's not the point!!

Enough chattering......here's the page........

Papers are from Basic Grey (Capella I think), and the layout was inspired by a sketch from Allison Davis (Sketches For Scrapbooking - One page Sketches).

Here's a little close up of my first attempt at creating flowers using my new Dienamics rolled flower die (think I need more practice!)............

Well that's it for today.
Hope to see you soon
