Go Team!........

Hi there, I'm back again.....I might just get the hang of this 'blogging' thing!

I'm stopping by today with this weeks Saturated Canary Challenge entry. Since I discovered Krista's images a few weeks ago, I can't get enough of them, which is good for creativity......not so good for the pocket! I know YOU know what I mean.

Anyhow, let's get to the card.........'You Go Girl!'.............

The image, obviously from Saturated Canary, is called 'Crushing on the Quarterback' and is coloured with Copic's, papers are from My Minds Eye (Lime Twist 6'x6'pad).

The current challenge over at the Saturated Canary blog is to use 'stitching' on your creation, so here's my (fake....ahem!) stitching..........

The layout is inspired by a previous 'Deconstructed Sketch'.

Have a great weekend....see you next week

Mavis wearing holly.........

Good morning, hope you're having a good one. I have another Christmas card for you today.......do you think you might be sick of them by December?

At home the other night, I had the urge to colour, like.....right.....now, so I grabbed the first rubber stamp (yes...rubber!) I could lay my hands on and coloured away. This doesn't happen very often with all the digi's around - my stamps only get dusted off occasionally. Anyhow, the stamp in question happened to be one of my old faves from Stamping Bella......Mavis wearing holly..........

I think Mavis is one of the sweetest looking puddy cats around.

She's coloured with Copic's and has a touch of glitter on there, as well as a little Sakura Glaze pen on the holly berries.

Papers are from the Authentique 6"x6" Christmas pad, with a little inking, pearls and a holly sticker from Martha Stewart. Trim has been reached for many times from my stash. The sentiment is another $1.50 stamp from Michael's.

I thought as I'd dusted off one of my Stamping Bella stamps, I should make the effort and enter this weeks Bellarific Friday - something else I haven't done for quite some time, so the card layout is based on this weeks sketch challenge.

Enjoy the rest of your day.....I may see you again Friday if I'm behaving myself!

Merry Christ'mouse'!

Well, it had to be done.....it's October and I'm posting my first Christmas card. Yep, I've started production ahead of the game, and you can guarantee I'll still be late mailing them out! It's the thought that counts.

I do love these two enthusiastic little Carol singers, so here we go.........Merry Christ'mouse'!.........

This card let me tell ya, was a lot of work. I kept things simple with the background (white on white) due to the fair amount of detail in the image, but there's a whole load of texture going on.

The image is from Pollycraft and coloured with Copic's. There are various other products added including pearls, glitter on the Christmas tree trim and Flowersoft on the ground..........

There's also Liquid Applique on their clothes and hats to give that nice 'poofy' look..........

I then added a scattering of snowflakes (cut from glitter card stock using two different sized punches) and these sit nicely against the snowflake embossed background......which of course you can't see from the photograph............

A final addition of ribbon from my stash.....mission complete!

The layout is inspired by the current sketch over at Pink Ink Sketch Challenges, so of course this will be entered there.

That's it from me, so have a great day

An 'out of the box' swingy thingy!

Hi there, I was intending to be back here a little sooner, but I've been a little busy at work, so good intentions disappeared. Oh well, at least I made it before the week was out......hopefully I'll be back again tomorrow.

I hope all my Canadian friends had a Happy Thanksgiving. We are far too English to celebrate, but we did make the effort and go to the parade at least.

I have a sweet little card for you today, and yes, I've gone 'out of the box'.........or at least 'outside the Nestie'! Here's a little reminder to enjoy life's simple pleasures.................

Doesn't this make you want to run to the nearest swing and kick your legs out as high as you can go? Well maybe I'll just reach for my coffee instead!

So here's Gillian again, from Prairie Fairy Designs but this time I felt she needed to be a redhead. She's coloured with Copic's and papers are from My Minds Eye. I used my Martha Stewart punch to create the butterflies............

added a little bling, ribbon and a button and we're done. The sentiment is a $1.50 rubber stamp from Michael's.

Don't you just love Glossy Accents?

Don't know what I'd do without them.

I'll leave you with one more image of Gillian, as I seem to have gone from not remembering to take any close-ups at all, to going completely overboard!

Almost forgot.....the LO for this card is inspired by the current sketch challenge over at Pink Ink Sketch Challenges.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow

Shine.........my new favourite card!

Hi there.....yes you've come to the right blog....I'm here again for the third time this week! Could be a record for me I think.

So, I said I would be back to show you what is currently my favourite card ever. You'll notice this changes on a regular basis, but I really do love this one. Don't know why, as it's the simplest LO with only a few embellishments, but you know when everything just comes together and you're completely satisfied?

Well for once, it happened, so here it is........Shine...........

I absolutely love this image I discovered a few weeks ago, drawn by Krista Smith of Saturated Canary Digi's, if you have not been there already, get yourself over there right now....you'll definitely not be disappointed! I've already coloured up a couple more and will be back to buy my next installment pretty soon. Anyhow, Krista has started up a challenge blog, where we get a chance to show off these beauties, so the layout for this card is inspired by there first challenge....a sketch.

The second reason I love this card is the paper. I had no intention of using anything like this, and was flicking through paper pads looking for the usual combination of a couple of PP's when BAM!! I saw it, the sentiment was decided and the deed was done.

The image 'Peace and Love Hipster' is coloured with Copic's and paper is the Echo Park 'Splash' 6"x6" pad. Everything else has been sitting in my stash for quite some time.

Here's a little close up should you feel the need........

I'm always happy with this hair colour combination - E50, E31 and E43 to give that angelic blond look.

OK I'm done for today and looking forward to a weekend of sunshine!
Have a good one

A little birdie told me........

Good morning.

Well I'm not sure what the birdie told me yet....I haven't decided, so I'm saving the sentiment for the inside of this card, for whatever need arises. I guess I should post the card so you understand what the heck I'm talking about! Here ya go................

Are you with me now?

Look what I coloured with today..........yes the good old Prismacolour pencils have returned. Thought I'd better give them some attention after my recent attachment to Copic's/Promarker's, as they were feeling a little neglected!

Well today's card is a little vintage, a little grunge, a little nostalgic I guess. The digi image is a freebie I picked up a very long time ago, the name I have listed is Carina's Scrappeboble, but I honestly can't find a link....sorry! Papers are from Fancy Pants Designs (The Little Things), and lace/ribbon are bits I've had in my stash forever. The card layout is inspired by an older sketch from The Deconstructed Sketch.

Now because I'm a very well behaved blogger this week....visiting for the second time that is (and I'll be back on Friday, with my favourite card ever....maybe!), I'll even show a close up that I remembered to take this time! This is the crochet flower I made (yes ME!)........

and here are the cute little tile alpha's for the sentiment.............

So that's all for now, I'll be back later with some challenge entries.

Have a great day....enjoy the sunshine if you have any!

#1!

Good morning, hope you're having a Happy Monday.

It's my hubby's Birthday this week, so I finally got myself into gear over the weekend and made a card.......makes a change from me rushing around the night before!

I love this little guy (as well as my husband of course!) and I've been waiting for just the right card to put him on, so here he is, my #1............

This is Lewis, another of my winnings from Prairie Fairy Designs and I love these images. I've just coloured up another Gillian, so you can expect to see her in the near future.

Papers are from my new Authentique 6"x6" pad and I have to say, the quality of them is awesome. The LO is inspired by a sketch from The Deconstructed Sketch and the ticket sentiment is actually a rubber stamp (from Michael's), to which I've added text using Word. Almost forgot to mention......I added a fair amount of Glossy Accents to his specs....perfect!

That's all for today, so have a good one

World Card Making Day.....Happy Day!

Bet you didn't expect me back here so soon did ya?

Well today is World Card Making Day, so of course I can't let it go without any kind of celebration. No, I haven't dug out the party streamers and Karaoke music, or even baked cupcakes, but I did make a card......very fitting I'd say.

To everyone out there, go make a card and have a very 'Happy Day'..............

I actually made this card last weekend at a really fun 12 hour crop (yes, I lasted the 12 hours!), using the scraps left over from a Scrapbook LO. The layout for this is inspired by a sketch from Joanne Burton and papers are from the My Minds Eye, Lost & Found 2 collection.

That's it from me so have a great day.....I think we are apple picking, as long as the rain holds off!

Enjoy
