Good morning.
I got another good night of sleep last night so I'm flying on Cloud 9 again today......we'll see how long it lasts!
I'm still having trouble with my hands right now, but today marks a new Sketch reveal and challenge over on the Scrapmuch? blog, so it's not all bad.
When my project was due at the beginning of this week, I really had to dig in and pull this one out of the hat.....in the midst of my Mono symptoms.
Oh well, it might not be my best but I actually enjoyed the fact that I didn't procrastinate too much.........just got everything on there as efficiently as I could.
My Father-In-Law will enjoy this one (hopefully!).
It's Only Rock n' Roll.
Look at that dude all the way back in 1962!
Hmmm I don't ever remember my FIL being able to play the guitar so me thinks I'll have to delve into this story a little more!
I created the large star in the background with my Silhouette and a Sketch pen, then rubbed my cardstock over a little watered down mist spritzed onto my craft mat. The final step was a little checkerboard stamping in black.
I picked up the perfect 50/60's style font, free over at Dafont......'Remachine Script', and then again used my Silhouette to cut the title.
The retro paper collection from my stash (Echo Park) also worked perfectly for this theme, and I was lucky enough to have the co-ordinating stickers too.
I put them to good use especially, for the banner which I popped with foam dots for a little more dimension.
I think that just about covers everything which is just as well cause my fingers are now numb again.
If you'd like to join in with our Sketch Challenge this week, just head on over to the Scrapmuch? blog and link up your creation there.
Before I go, I almost forgot to show you the wonderful Sketch I got to work with for this page.......
You can tell I 'flipped' it and changed up a few of the shapes/elements but that's the beauty of a sketch.........creative license and all that!
Have a great weekend and I'll see you on Monday for this months Inspiration Elevator creation,
Jayne.x.
