Good morning, another bright and early start for me as it's time for a brand new Sketch reveal over on the Scrapmuch? blog.
Team B is up for a little inspiration this week so here's my effort:
Cows.
I'm liking this black and white colour scheme with a splash of red.
I used a few random layered strips, a border punch and a touch of stitching for the top detail on the page.
Those little black stars are actually studs I picked up once thinking they were brads! Had to make use of them somehow.
I used my Silhouette to cut the 'sketchy' circle element, and the journal strips explain all.
Finally, I was really pleased how the title turned out. I cut some simple alpha's (again with the Silhouette) then doodled the 'cow' markings on there......that is about the extent of my drawing skills!
A few chevrons and a bottle cap and that's about all.
Papers for this one are from the awesome new Amy Tangerine collection....'Stitched'.

It's time for a new Sketch over on the Scrapmuch?! Blog, and this week Team B are delivering a little inspiration.
That means I'm up, so I get to play.
Here's the wonderful Sketch drawn by Laura Whitaker:
And here's my take on it..........HeART This.
This is the second time I've used this collection of papers in as many months - 'Plus One' from Amy Tangerine......I think I have 'a thing' for the pink painted background.
I threw on some black sequins and splatters of Molding Paste using a stencil......I like my random paint splatters to be neat! Lol
I found a sheet of patterned paper, Teresa Collins I think, that was covered in Picture frames so I fussy cut a bunch of them to layer behind the photo's.
Finally I pierced a couple of hearts using a template then cheated faux stitched through them using a fineline marker.
I do love the title too.

It's a strange time to be posting I know (11pm on a Friday night!) but it's the first chance I've had today, so I thought I'd get on it before I forget!
This page is the second and final layout from my from Two Scrapbook Friends DT Kit using the 'Cut & Paste' collection by Amy Tangerine.
I like this one.......not sure why other than things worked out nicely.....almost to plan!

I really like the background page which has the word love 'semi' cut from it, but I wanted to make it stand out a little more, so I doodled around one edge, slotted a few pennants behind and curled the letters upward slightly.
I created a little texture in the background by using molding paste and a stencil, then stamped over top.
Finally I used a mixture of chipboard stickers and a wood veneer backed with a little PP, to create the journalling.
That's about all for now so I guess if the weather forecast is correct, I'll be hunkering down to endure this weeks snow storm!

OK I am really sick of Winter now.......no kidding!
Took me an hour to shovel the ton of snow off our driveway this morning, and my back hasn't forgiven me since. Hibernation is the next step I think.
The only good thing to come out of this is an excuse for staying home and crafting, although with the colds/sickness rotating through the family right now, I doubt I'll be getting a lot of that done either!
Good thing I still have a backlog of layouts to post, so today's is from my Two Scrapbook Friends kit of a couple of months ago (my bad!), the 'Cut & Paste' collection from Amy Tangerine and American Crafts.
I Love You.....Remember.
Some lovely neutral colour tones in this collection as well as funky patterns.
I love these canvas hearts (you can pick them up loose at the store) and I stitched another heart onto some vellum using one of the Amy Tangerine Stitching templates.
Chipboard stickers help with the title......
and I liked the idea of a rain cloud of hearts......a shower of love! :-)
There was a heart printed at the bottom corner of the page, so I stitched a vellum pocket over top to collect a few of the wooden hearts.
There's ink and a little texture paste around the edges of the page to finish things off.

It's a happy Friday although just a tad too cool for my liking.
At least I get a day off work today which makes up for....well, everything really!
I remembered that I hadn't posted the final layout from one of my Two Scrapbook Friends DT Kits, using the 'Yes Please' collection by Amy Tangerine. The first you can see way back here.
The reason I probably pushed it to the back of my mind is because I was never a fan of the finished result. You know when occasionally you have an idea, a plan of sorts in your head as to how you'd like the layout to end up........then absolutely nothings follows 'the plan' and it ends up a far cry from what you intended?
It's not that I don't like this one as such.......maybe my obsessive, compulsive, perfectionist side just had the bar raised a little too high!
Anyhow, here we go.....Mini Masterpieces.
I do like the photograph at least - happy memories from last Summer when my niece and nephew flew over with their Mom and Dad to visit.
I like the title too......the double meaning referring to the kiddo's and their artwork.
And then I struggle to decide what else I do like!
The whole page was inspired by the background paper, which I wanted to give a messy water coloured effect. So, I used a water brush and distress inks to randomly paint the clouds.
I also wanted to frame the photograph and hang it 'Gallery' style, so out came the white Paint Sharpie for a little freehand doodling then fussy cutting.
I had a couple of pretty polka dot glassine envelopes included in my kit, so I used them behind the photograph, perfect for holding a wooden embellie. I also fussy cut the landscape from a sheet of PP, to use as a border strip.
Ooh.....I found something else I like.........the wording on another veneer seemed to tie in perfectly.
And that's about it.

My muscles are still recovering from last weekends gardening efforts so this week, I'm taking it easy......going to work instead!

I'm definitely looking forward to some 20 degree temperatures today if the weather forecasters get it right.......bout time too I'd say!
It's time for another Two Scrapbook Friends DT Kit reveal on here today, this time using one of the recent Amy Tangerine collections 'Yes Please'.
I created two layouts for this line and the first came together pretty easy, straight forward, nothing out of the ordinary. The second.......not so much so I'll reveal that another time when I can face it (still not a huge fan you see!)
Anyhow, today's works for me so here we go:
Spread Your Wings And Fly.
I have to fess up regarding the photo......my girls were playing on a wooden boat shaped play structure, and decided to strike the pose like the character from Titanic.
However using the title 'Posing On The Edge Of The Boat Like The Girl From Titanic' just didn't seem to cut it, so after a little photo editing IE cropping out most of the boat and adding a little white veneer to the edges, the title 'Spread Your Wings And Fly' seemed much more appropriate!
I was fortunate enough to be given a second sheet of the background paper so I cut out the clouds to use as extras on this page. The kite was made by cutting triangles from various patterned papers, and the tail is 3 strands of bakers twine, braided together.
I used another strip of paper a little more like ribbon, to give the impression of movement, and this kinda relates to my LO and challenge issued here, to use your paper as more of a focal embellishment.
Finally, I used a couple of pins from Jillibean Soup and a sticker to anchor things down.
One last thing I almost forgot......I did get to try out one of my new stitching templates (also from Amy Tangerine) which conveniently had a feather image in there.....ties in with the theme nicely.
