Little Red Wagon # 251 - Confetti.
Finally, I'm here bright and early on a Wednesday morning for this weeks challenge over at.......
The reason of course, is that it's my turn to host and to be honest, I couldn't really think of a witty title so straight to the point it is!
Confetti!
I'd like to see you use whatever you like......bling, paper, sequins etc. to create the look.
For my sample, I'll be the first to admit it's not all that 'confetti' like!
You know when you have an idea in mind, then start to create and it sort of takes a life of it's own?
This was one of those.
I got a little carried away with the pearls and Liquid Pearls which started to remind me of the topping on a cake, so I went with a sprinkles/confetti kinda look instead!
The sweet little image there is one I've had for eons, but still super cute from By Lori Designs and coloured with Copics.
To make up for my confetti/not quite confetti sort of thing, I decided to decorate the inside of the card a little too.
Why not join in with this weeks challenge, cause I'm sure you'll probably have more success!
Just link up over on the blog and don't forget to check out some inspiration from the rest of the Girlfriends too.
Have fun and I'll see you back here Friday,
Jayne.x.

Designed To Colour
This little gem is dedicated to the world of colouring in any form, and is a great read for anyone remotely interested in that field.
I couple of months ago I was fortunate enough to have a card accepted for publication......ME........WOW a first for sure (of course I'd like to say that's because it was the first thing I've ever submitted! (lol))
Anyhow, I've since received my own copy in print, and the allotted time has passed, which means I can post the card on my blog, so here goes.
Now I don't mind admitting it's a pretty simple card but there's a story that goes with it.
I made and submitted this card pretty close to the deadline, day before I believe.........I know what you're thinking......"Me, last minute.......surely not!", but I only discovered the magazine on this day and decided what the heck I may as well give it a go.
So I dug out my Copic's, made the card and sent it that afternoon. I was thrilled when it was accepted but then felt a little guilty. I almost wanted to e-mail them back explaining I should probably do better! Still I was/am super excited and will take it no matter what.
The digi for this one btw is from By Lori Designs - quite appropriate really as these were the very first images I ever coloured! Papers are from Authentique.
If you'd like to check out the magazine, head over to their blog where you'll find a free preview of the latest issue (I'll be making an appearance in that too!:).
Have a great day and I'll see you soon,
Jayne.x.

An apple (or maybe a bookmark) for teacher!
Sorry I've been a little absent this week........it's true what they say about the best laid plans!
Anyhow, it's time for Friendzy Friday over on the Two Scrapbook Friends Blog and Forum so here I am again.
The end of the school year is drawing to a close here in Canada, so my thoughts are turning to cards and gifts for teacher.
I'd thought I'd share a simple little idea I'll be running with this year......a bookmark card.
They are really easy to make and who doesn't like a card with a little added bonus - I know we're probably hoping for cash here, but you can't have everything!
All you really need to make one of these are papers and embellishments of your choice, plus a perforating blade on your trimmer. If you don't have one of these you could still achieve the same results by using a ruler, a piercing tool and a little patience!
So, a bookmark card in three basic steps:
Step1
Take a 5"x7" card. You can use any size, but I find this works well as it gives you plenty of room to fit everything on there. Cut a 'bookmark' sized section from the front cover only......I've cut 1 3/4'' from the right edge on the front panel.
Step 2
Using this same measurement (1 3/4") score along the back panel only using a perforating blade. I scored 1 3/4" from the right edge on the back panel.
Step 3
Decorate as you wish. There are no restrictions as to how you decorate the 'card' portion, however my only word of advice is that you keep embellishments fairly flat on the 'bookmark' section of the card, as it will eventually be lying between the pages of a book. I usually add some ribbon, twine, beads or charm etc. to the top or bottom of the bookmark, to ensure there is something to protrude from the book.
Finally, one last point which I'm sure is common sense, remember to decorate the two sections (card and bookmark) as two separate entities, to ensure the recipient is able to detach the bookmark easily!
There we have it, one down.........a few more to go!
Your deadline for completion is two weeks from today :-) so have fun , and I'll see you next time,
Jayne.x.

A huge Thank You!
Today's card is a dose of happy and sad all mixed in together. It's an extremely sweet image from By Lori Designs of course, and that makes me happy, but it is also my last Design Team creation for the 'Oh so talented' Lori Boyd. Yes, all good things must come to an end, and this ride has been a blast. Did you know it was one of Lori's images (in rubber) that first got me started on this whole crazy colouring/card making journey? So for that, the Design Team opportunity, and the endless supply of inspiration she has given since, I would like to send her a huge 'Thank You'!
Told you she was sweet!
To prove the point, Amy will be making her way to the equally sweet, ever so patient teacher, who has nurtured my youngest daughter for the last year. Another Thank You!
So, other than Copic's for skin area's, I coloured with my Prisma pencils again.....(Oh how I missed them!) and papers are from one of the new Lime Twist 6'x6' pads from My Minds Eye. The only other additions are a Nestie, sentiment printed from Word, ribbon from Making Memories and pearls from the $$ store. I did add just enough glitter to make Amy sparkle.......here's a close up.........
One last thing, the layout for this card was inspired by a sketch from The Deconstructed Sketch......love those sketches, I'm working on another at the moment, but this one was from a week ago.Well that's about it for today.....I'll be back next week with who knows what?
You'll have to pop back for a visit to find out!
Have a great weekend

Best Friend.........
Yep, I liked this little furry friend so much, I coloured him twice. Sorry for the glare on the photo.....it was taken rather late one night where a fair bit of extra lighting was needed! So as mentioned, 'Lollipop Bear' was printed then flipped, scaled down slightly, and printed again. They're coloured with Prismacolour Pencils and papers are from the October Afternoon 'Campfire' 8"x8" pad. I added a Fiskars punch and wrapped a little 'Hemp' cord around there to finish off. The sentiment is another generous freebie from a while back, from Create With TLC.
Here's to another gloriously 'wet' day!

A sweet friendship.
I definitely have a thing for red!Look what made an appearance...........my Prismacolour pencils! Yep I dusted them of as they were feeling a little negleted whilst I had my little fling with Copics recently. Glad I did as I like this card....love the colours and softness.
Papers are from the new 'Lime Twist' 6"x6" pad from My Minds Eye, together with a paper doily from Michael's. I also used a couple of Nestie's, a Fiskar's border punch, ribbon (also from Michael's), button (from my local scrapbook store TSF) and more of my Baker's twine....this time in green from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The sentiment is another wonderful freebie I picked up from Paulette, over at Create with TLC.
That's all folks, but maybe hop on over to the Lollipop Shop to check out the always beautiful creations from the other Lollipop Girls.

Sometimes you gotta let your hair down!
Dropping in with another Lollipop card today, but this time, it's the male variety. Here's 'Sunday Best PJ Landon' all dressed up in his 'way out' suit, from the newly released digi's over at By LORI Designs..........
Yep, I've been at the paper piecing again! Couldn't resist showing a little of Landon's 'wild side' by dressing him in his star spangled suit. He's coloured today with Copic markers and papers are from the new Jillibean Soup 6'x6' pads. I added ribbon, twine, star and felt buttons from my stash, and a couple of Nesties to finish off. The sentiment is actually a freebie I picked up from the generous Paulette over at Create with TLC, and I almost forgot to mention, that the layout for this card was inspired by a 'Sweet Sunday' sketch from a while ago, over on Karen Giron's blog.
If you get a chance, you may want to head over to the Lollipop Shop to check out the other awesome creations from the Lollipop Girls. You wont be disappointed!
That's it from me for today, but I will be back this week....promise!
Have a great day

It's New Release Day!
So, to celebrate I made a card of course, but not with one of the new images......you'll have to wait til Tuesday for that one! This is one I've been meaning to bring to life for a little while........here's Sugar Stick 'Girl with kite'...............
Aaah, paper piecing....haven't done any for a while, but when I do, I love it!This little lady is coloured (what there is of it!) with Promarkers and Copics, and papers are from the always classy, Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 line. I used ribbon from the $1.50 bin at Michael's, that's been hiding in my stash for quite some time, and a rub on sentiment that's been there even longer. The cloud rub on is actually new......Cosmo Cricket also I think.
That's it for today, but I will be back soon.........I promise!
Don't forget to head over to the Lollipop Shop for your share of sweetness!

Happy Hunting.........
Yep, another cute image from By LORI Designs, persuaded me to colour up the male variety of digi. Here's Puddle Jumper Landon............

There are actually two digi's on here - I added the 'egg basket' to create an Easter type of card.
Landon is coloured with Copic markers and papers, which I embossed, are from the My Minds Eye (Stella & Rose) 6"x6" paper pad. Some baker's twine, brads and a homemade 'Word' sentiment finish the job.
That's it from me for today........I really need to get some images (which are coloured and sitting neglected on my desk!) on to cards, then I may have something else to show you. I've been trying to get a little 'scrapping' done.......I actually managed a 'double' LO last week........pretty unusual for me......so unfortunately, cards have taken a back seat.
Have a happy, creative day......looks like we'll have to create our own sunshine in this weather!

April Showers......
Couldn't resist adding that cute 'rain boot' paper.
I'll share a little story with you about this image........a conversation I had with my youngest daughter, which of course made me smile, they usually do! I must have subconsciously coloured Ella, with some striking resemblances to her, because when I'd finished, they really did look alike. So I said to her "Oh my goodness......this could be you, she looks just like you". After she'd studied it for a moment, she said " No.........I don't have a frog!" The joy of 4 year old wisdom.........keeps me sane...........when it's not driving me insane! LOL
So Ella is coloured with Copic's and papers are from 3 Bugs In A Rug. I kept things fairly simple by adding a 'Nestie', some white satin ribbon and a stick pin, but I did add a fair bit of Glossy Accents to the puddle and the polka dots on the umbrella.
Sweet!
Have a great day and I'll see you later in the week

Did someone say 'Blog Hop'?
Yep, you get to cruise around blogland, taking in all the yummy 'Lollipop' goodness, and if you feel like leaving some awfully sweet comments along the way, you're in with a chance of winning a $10 gift certificate to spend on more sweetness over at the Lollipop Shop! I'll post a hop list of my fellow lovely ladies in a moment, but first, let's get to the important stuff.....a card!
Another sweetie for me to colour up this time. As much as I love the male variety of Lori Boyd creations, the girlie's always seem to win me over. Here's Puddle Jumper Shelby.........

I'm now realizing how very bright this card is, so put it down to a subconscious need for 'sunshine' around here!
Shelby is coloured with........you will never guess! I almost typed 'Copic's then and had to stop myself. I'll start again......Shelby is coloured with Promarkers! Let me just say, I have great in-laws (yep I'm one of those who has good ones!), who very kindly sent me a set, all the way across the pond, for me to play with. Couldn't get much better than that huh?
Papers today are from the new Bo Bunny line, which is just bright enough to wake you up in a morning.
OK, let's get to the list. Remember, to qualify for a chance to win the gift certificate, you have to leave a comment at each blog. If you're joining me from the super talented 'Jane's' blog, you're on the right track and need to head over to the lovely Jen. A New Release and a Blog Hop!
To celebrate, we're having a blog hop! That way you get to see all of the wonderful creations the DT have come up with. I'll get to the list in a minute, but first.......a card me thinks.
I got to play with one sweet little girl..........Puddle Jumper Lyla, who you can find over at The Lollipop Shop of course............

So, is she sweet or what? I love everything about this card.....my new favourite (I haven't said that for a while!)
Lyla and her Easter basket are coloured with Copic markers, and papers are from the My Minds Eye, brand spanking new range, Stella and Rose, and OMG are these worth buying! I used the 6x6 pad and they are gorgeous. The fabric flower is from Recollections at Michael's, ribbon is Martha Stewart, and I printed the sentiment onto a 'Nestie' using my PC.
So, are you ready to see some more beauties? Wait no more......here's the list for you, and did I happen to mention there's a prize involved, if you feel like leaving a few lovely comments along the way?

Another 'sweetie'.........
Anyhow, thought I'd hop into blogland with a cute card. I've coloured up a super sweet Lori Boyd image, I've been meaning to get my hands on for quite some time. Her name is Nellie and she's one of the 'Spoonfuls' which you can find at by LORI Designs..............
So, I had a couple of pointers for inspiration on this card...........apart from the fact that the image is ridiculously cute, so how could you not want to colour her up!
Firstly, my local scrapbook store, Two Scrapbook Friends, are running a current card challenge on their forum, to use buttons on you creation. Say no more, although I did dig into a new variety of felt ones, which I picked up at the store last week. They're great to work with and a really great price!
Secondly, I found a sketch online at Karen Giron's Blog, The Sweetest Thing, which I thought would work beautifully
I did 'flip' it, just in case you're confused!
Lastly, and believe me, this was a complete coincidence..........there is another colour challenge currently running over at the Lollipop Shop (home to By LORI Designs), the colour contenders being..................
I had no intention of entering this card, and had already chosen my patterned paper and coloured my image, before I checked out the challenge. Must have received some subliminal messages, cause I seem to have got the colours pretty close. The only thing I had to add was the espresso coloured card stock for matting.
So, the deets very quickly........I coloured with Copic markers, papers are Pixie Liscious from Cosmo Cricket, buttons as previously mentioned, and the 'Sweet' rub-on has been sitting in my stash forevah.......no idea which make!
That's about it for today, but I think I'll be back fairly soon this week, as I have a few things prepped and ready to go.....most unusual for me! I'm also really wanting to get another scrapbook LO done this week, but I guess we'll see.....better not be too optimistic!
Have a great day.

I've used another cute Puddle Jumper image from Lori Boyd, called 'Kyle', and you can find him of course at By LORI Designs......................
It also ties in very nicely with the current challenge running over there, the colour scheme required being.................
If you want to join in the fun, and give yourself the chance of winning a sweet image, you still have a little time, as the challenge closes tomorrow at midnight.
Kyle was coloured again with Copic's, and papers are a combination of Martha Stewart and October Afternoon.
I'm sure I'll find some challenges for Kyle to head into, so I'm off to do that right now.

A Double Blog Hop!..........
Today I have a very special surprise for you! A DOUBLE BLOG HOP!!! That’s right, Baby Bud Designs and By LORi Designs have teamed up to bring you a big ol' blog hop! We’ve got a fantastic line up of extremely talented designers, showcasing some pretty adorable images.
You’ll find a ton of inspiration, and of course a hop isn’t a hop without some prizes right? So be sure to leave comments on every stop!
Sit back, relax and enjoy the wonderful creations that both of these wonderful Design Teams have created for you! You won’t be disappointed! If you get lost along the way the whole list will be posted at each of the Main blogs.
For my part in today's activities, I got to play with yet another new image from ByLori Designs called 'Happy Birthday Annie'. Here she is, all ready for the party..............
Now, I hope you can tell I put in a little effort here.....there were quite a few fiddly bits let me tell ya! I'll get through the 'deets' pretty quickly, so that you can be on your way.Annie is coloured predominantly with Prisma pencils and Copics for her skin. I paper pieced and popped the balloon and 'glittered' cake (NB. 1st fiddly bit!), and added my new bakers twine for the string (NB. 2nd fiddly bit!). Here's a close up...........

Paper is from Pine Cone Press and the 'Bingo' card is Jenni Bowlin. I made the banner using a heart shaped Martha Stewart punch, more bakers twine, added alpha stickers from my stash, and 'popped' (NB. 3rd fiddly bit!). Ribbon is from Michaels and tied in that lovely bow, using my new 'Bow Easy', and around the candle (NB.4th fiddly bit!). Oh, and lastly, although it's no doubt obvious, I paper pierced around the image, and glued onto my new lacy 'Nestie' (NB. not quite so fiddly!) OMG, only 4 'fiddly bits'.......it felt like more, believe me. Maybe I just need smaller fingers!
Wow......all this 'newness'...........can you tell it was my Birthday last week? I like this card......even my eldest DD said"Wow Mom, this will have to go to someone really special!" which is basically her 'royal seal of approval', so there ya go........mustn't be bad!
OK, so that's about it from me, although I'll probably be back a little later with some challenge hopefuls. I'll send you off for now, to the lovely Margie's blog, to go have fun in 'Blogland, and here's that magic list of awesome inspiration I promised you.........if you're joining us 'midway', head on back to the By Lori Designs blog:

A Blog Hop!
Here's the brief - you need to start over at the Lollipop Shop , where you will find the running order for the lovely ladies of the Design Team. Leave a comment there, and on each DT members blog to be in with a chance of winning one of these...........

..........a $10 gift certificate to spend at the Lollipop Shop, and there are 2 up for grabs! Not bad eh?
Now, if you have arrived here from the lovely Andrea's blog, then you are on the right track, so leave a comment (preferably a nice one!) and head on over to the lovely Hannah's blog. If you've happened here by chance, thanks for stopping by.....visitor's are always welcome, but if you'd like to join in the blog hop, skip over to the Lollipop Shop and start 'hopping'.
Before you leave though, maybe I should show you a card huh? I'm guessing that's what you're here for (unless the $10 is more appealing!). Today, I got to play with a new digi created by the talented Hannah Boyd (who you will be visiting next I hope!), from her new line of digi stamps........Bug and Roo, which you can also find at the Lollipop Shop. Here's 'Sunny'...............
Yes, there is obviously a whole bunch of talent in the 'Boyd' family!
So, I'll quickly run through the deets and you can be on your way. Sunny has been coloured with a combination of Copic markers and Prisma pencils. Papers are from Cosmo Cricket's Earth Love series and everything has been inked with 2 shades of Tim Holtz distressing ink. I used an EK Success border punch and threaded ribbon through, and used a fine line marker to create faux stitching and doodling in various places on the card. The sentiment is actually a digi created by Lori Boyd, which I printed on to Kraft cardstock, and raised in places with foam dots to create the dimension.
One last thing, I had no intention of using a sketch for this card as I pretty much knew I wanted a large, 'sunlike' circle behind the image. However, whilst I was cruising blogland for challenges the other day, I happened across a perfect sketch on Karen Giron's blog, for her Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, so of course, it was meant to be!
Well, that's it from me for now. I'll leave you with the complete running order for the blog hop, just in case you get a little disorientated (or should I say distracted!) out there in blogland.

New Year......New Challenge.......and a great big 'Hi'!
Now, I'm not all that technical when it comes to colour terms.......the closest I get to being anywhere near name specific is when I'm forced to picked a new 'wall' colour from Benjamin Moore paint swatches! So, that said, the colour challenge this week, in my terms (and no offense to the Stamping Up fraternity out there!) is dark pink, light pink, turquoise blue and an olive green. If you have all these in your challenge entry, you're on the right track. Here's my effort..........
Now, I know I've used a fair bit of white on here ie. the background, but I had an idea of what I wanted to do, and every time I put a PP behind there, the images got a little lost. I made sure I included all the colours in the images and embellies instead.
These two cuties are of course Lori Boyd creations, which you can find over at the Lollipop Shop ......... 'Lollipop Abby' and 'Sugar Stick Dog'. I paper pieced Abby's outfit and coloured the rest of her, and the dog with Copic markers. Oh, almost forgot, I did use a little Prisma pencil on her cheeks. The banner/bunting is hand cut from scraps, which I embossed using a Cuttlebug folder, then added chipboard letters. I used a little olive green embroidery floss as the 'rope', and the sunshine cloud is actually the top of a Maya Road chipboard tree, which I covered again with a Cuttlebug embossed scrap and inked. I stitched around the edge of the card using two different coloured threads and............Voila.......done!
I hope you get a chance to join in this weeks challenge, so hop on over to the Lollipop Shop and take a look at the other DT creations, for some awesome inspiration.
I'll be back here later with some challenge entries, so till then........have a great day!

Be sure to hop over to the Lollipop Shop and check out all the details and I'll see you there.

Baby it's cold outside.........
Here's another Lori Boyd creation.......I will be back with a different variety of digi soon (I promise!), it's just that I had a little colouring frenzy recently will all the new releases from byLoriDesigns - they're addictive! So, as I was saying .......here's Winter Dana and Penny...........
You can obviously find these sweet Puddle Jumpers over at the Lollipop Shop. I decided to go with a non-traditional colour scheme, mainly because I couldn't wait any longer to cut into this beautiful line of Christmas papers from Bo Bunny...........they've been burning a hole in my stash for a few weeks now and the colours are so pretty.
Dana and Penny were coloured this time around with..........Copic's, yep the Copic markers made an appearance once again. I'm getting quite attached to them.....it's like revisiting an old friendship! lol Ribbon and embroidery floss is from my stash, and the cute snowflake button is one of a bunch I picked up from my favourite local scrapbook store TSF, not sure of the make. I used a Fiskars punch to create the border and the extra snowflakes have been punched from the paper, layered and glittered. Oh, almost forgot, the Christmas tree is cut from another sheet of paper and 'popped' and the sentiment is printed directly onto this using my PC.
That's about all for now, except of course the challenges this will entered into. I'll be back later after hunting some down.
Have a great day......keep warm!
