Dance like no-one is watching!.......

Sunday has rolled around again.....hope you're having a good one. It's challenge day of course over at OSAAT and our sponsor this week, who are offering 5 Promarkers to one lucky winner is...........

So, what's this weeks theme............to use a charm, nice and easy, and chosen by our lovely fellow DT member, Josephine.

I coloured an image this week from Sylvie's Stamps called 'Leona' and she's a beauty.............

You can find 'Leona' over at the Stitchy Bear Stamps Store of course, but this card will be making it's way to my eldest DD, as a celebration of her dance recital.

I love the papers on this card.........the new Stella and Rose line from My Minds Eye, together with grey card stock....love that colour combo. Leona was coloured with Copic's, and I used ribbon and a border punch from Martha Stewart. The charm was actually cut from a bracelet I found at a discount store, and tied with bakers twine, and the sentiment is printed using my PC.

That's about it from me, so enjoy the rest of your day.

Happy crafting!

Fabulous........

Well here I am again with my second OSAAT DT post this morning. Did you miss me?lol If you're looking for my first post, including 'deets' of sponsor's etc, then scroll down.

So, second up, this time a card, using a 'fabulous' image by Stitchy herself (which you can find at the Stitchy Bear Stamps store), here's Babe..........

So, again, something a little different for me.....a side stepper card. I love how this turned out, a little 'vintage' but still with plenty of colour. The image is great to colour and I'm very proud of myself as I only used Copic's. Here's the details:

DP's - Cosmo Cricket. Sentiment digi - Create with TLC (freebie from the lovely Paulette!). Tickets - Tim Holtz. Ribbon and flowers - Michaels. Charm - Blue Moon (I think!). Inks - Tim Holtz.........and that's it.

Here's another quick look showing the folds............

So that's it from me for today, although I'll probably be back later after hunting challenges.

Have a great day..........keep warm!

Challenge time........

Happy Sunday, can't believe it's that time of the week again already! There's a new challenge over at the OSAAT challenge blog, and we have two sponsors for you this week, Creative Craft and............

.....which basically means more prizes. The theme this week is 'Have fun with Digi's', so I guess a type of 'Anything Goes' as long as there's a digi involved!

I have 2 projects to show you this week, but I'll be back with the second in a later post. So, for my first, I got to have fun with some great digi papers..........the 'Zen' paper pack by JLJ Designs, which you can find at the Stitchy Bear Stamps store..................

Hmmm, not my usual type of card huh? Thought I'd try something a little different, and altered a wooden box/glasses case from the $1.50 bin at Michaels! I've gotta say though, I love the colour and design of these papers. Added a few pearls, feathers and silky type of cord and I'm done!

If you'd like to join in with our challenge this week, then hop over to the OSAAT blog and check out what the rest of the DT came up with whilst you're there.
Happy crafting, and I'll be back very shortly with my second post.

Jingle bells and Naughty or Nice?...........

Good morning everyone, hope you're having a great weekend........has the Christmas 'shopping' spirit kicked in yet? Yep, I think it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Well, Sunday has rolled around again and that means it's time once again for a new challenge over at the OSAAT Challenge Blog. The theme this week is 'old stash, new stash', meaning use a bit of both. We have another great sponsor this week........

.............'Michelle's Scrapbooking & more' are offering a $15 gift voucher to one lucky winner. I actually have 2 creations again this week, so first up, I have a fairly traditional Christmas card.............

This week I got to colour up an image from Gingerloft Studios called Reindeer Carousel, which you can find at the Stitchy Bear Store. This image cries of traditional Christmas, but I didn't want to go too vintage so I used a fair bit of green.......a colour I don't use too often.

The reindeer was coloured with my Prisma pencils and you can't tell from the photo, but the pole, sprig of holly and bells are layered with Glossy Accents. DP's are from Bo Bunny, I used an EK Success punch around the image, and ribbon and bells are $ store finds (my old stash). I also used a tiny piece of my Jillibean Soup twine to attach the bells to the ribbon. Oh, almost forgot, I used another EK Success (my new stash) on the striped paper and fed the ribbon through. The sentiment, which I really like, is a freebie I picked up a while ago from Bizzy Becs, if you'd like to check it out.

That's about it for this one, so on to my second DT creation.............Naughty or Nice.........

Another (mostly) white Christmas card. I've realised I have a slight attachment to the red/white/black colour scheme, as there's another card, half created in the same scheme, sitting on my desk.

I really love this image......Vintage Vamp by Stitchy Stamps, which you can also find of course at the Stitchy Bear Store. I had every intention of going vintage with this, till I realised the image was called Vintage 'Vamp' and not 'Stamp' as I originally thought! (lol) Armed with that info, I knew she'd be wearing a little red number.............and voila.........a Christmas card! I had a little fun with the sentiments on here also, as she strikes me as swaying toward the 'Naughty' list!

Well, no Prisma pencils on here, only Copic markers, and all cardstock is of the plain white variety.......embossed of course with a couple of Cuttlebug folders. The cute red trim is some I picked up a fair while ago (my old stash-not sure of the make) and have been itching to use, and the red snowflakes are new, but again, not sure of the manufacturer. The Christmas Bingo ticket is a digi from Sarah Hurley, and the 'Naughty or Nice' sentiment is again another cute freebie I picked up from Bizzy Becs. I cut both circular sentiments using a 'Nestie' and threaded twine or ribbon through. The 'Dear Santa' sentiment is printed from my PC, onto cardstock I'd punched using an EK Success punch. All the corners on this Easel card have been punched/embossed using a Fiskars corner punch.

And that's about it.......I'll be back later of course with challenge hopefulls.

Go check out the other OSAAT Design Team creations and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I'm Back!

OK, so I know I'm probably a candidate for the worst (or at least the most absent) blogger this week but, oh I have been a sickly specimen! However, there is light at the end of the tunnel..........I had a 'cough free' night of sleep..........woooooohoooooo! Anyhow, enough about that, today is Sunday and that means it's time for a new challenge over at the OSAAT challenge blog.

Our sponsors this week, all 3 of them, are as follows:

So there you go, lots of goodies up for grabs, no excuse not to enter! The theme this week is.........Christmas, traditional or modern, whichever you prefer. I thought I'd try something a little different again this week, so sometime during my battle against the germs, I came up with a couple of gift card holders............

So, I guess one is in traditional Christmas colours, the other more modern. Here's another view...........

I got to play with new Christmas digi papers this week from Panda Bear Designs which you will find shortly at the Stitchy Bear and I Did It Crafting Boutique. These papers are really pretty on their own, so I only embellished with various alpha stamps, ribbon, a sticker, glitter and stickles from my stash. These gift card holders fold pretty nicely too, so I think they'd look cool hung on the tree.

Well, that's it from me for now, but hopefully the creative juices will start to flow a little more freely from now on, so I should be back with another post fairly soon. Don't forget to head on over to the OSAAT blog to check out the beautiful creations from the rest of the DT.

Happy Halloween!

And now for something completely different..........

...........No, the Monty Python team are not gonna appear, with a wierd and wonderful sketch! Just me, with something a step away from the 'norm' so to speak ('norm' for me that is!).

It's Sunday, and that means it's time for a new challenge over at the OSAAT Challenge Blog. Our theme this week is to 'embellish with your favourite things', and we are sponsored by Joanna Sheen, who you can check out right here.........

My task this week, as part of the DT, was to create, using some very pretty Digi papers from the 'Imagine' collection by Panda Bear Designs (which you can find of course at the Stitchy Bear Store). What.......no image to colour up and play around with? What's a girl to do?.........Stick to something she knows best, and create something 'girlie', that's what! So here's my effort for this week.............

Technically, it is still a card, although by the time my DD's have finished carrying it around the house, there probably won't be much of it left to send to anyone (lol).

I'll spill the beans and tell you that I bought a yummy new book a few weeks ago called 'Fast And Fun Folded Cards' by Annies Attic, so this is my version of one of the creations in there. Come on, you knew there was no way on this earth that I would have come up with something like this on my own..............especially as there is no colouring involved! Anyhow, I obviously 'blinged' it up, fussy cut and popped a butterfly on there, added flowers, more bling, ribbon, a fabric sticker I've had in my stash forever and..............Voila! Tres chic!

You'll definitely want to head over to OSAAT this week, and check out the other DT creations. Of course, if you enter this weeks challenge, you are in with a chance of winning the goodies up for grabs.

Well, I'm too tired to scour 'blogland' for challeges to enter right now, so I'll be back.

Have a good one.

----------------------------------

OK, I'm back with some challenges this baby will be heading into:

Crafty Cardmakers - Fancy Folds

Little Red Wagon - #50 Something Old/Something New

Inspiration Avenue - Pink

Scrapbook Sisters - #6 Flowers

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

OSAAT Challenge.........

Well, Sunday has rolled around again....thought it might.....and that means it's time for a new challenge over at the OSAAT Challenge Blog. The theme may not be too obvious, so I'll give you a BIG clue..........

Can ya guess what it is yet? (said in the voice of Rolf Harris if anyone remembers!). Yes, of course it's.....SPOOKY, so what a great opportunity to get done, all those Halloween projects you've been putting off for the last month.

This is my DT creation of course, using some of the latest release of 'fright'fully spooky chaps from Stitchy Bear Stamps, which you can find in the store right here. You'll most definitely be wanting to hop over to OSAAT this week as there are numerous, yes numerous, prizes up for grabs. There's also a few more little fun games occurring throughout the week, with even more goodies on offer, so don't miss out.

So for my card and treat bag tag, I didn't have to handle a single colouring implement. Aaahhh, easy life! I used some hand made paper and a wooden skull (I found at the dollar store), on the card, and thought it would be pretty neat to add a sucker on there. The plastic skull on the tag is another dollar store find. DP's are from Basic Grey's Eerie line.

This card will be haunting the following challenges:

The Pixie Cottage - #38 Sketch and/or orange

Aud Sentiments Chalenge Blog - #12 Use any Halloween Sentiment

If The Shoe Fits Scrap It - #49 Orange

Elephantastic Cards and Crafts - #14 Black and Orange

Stamp Scrap and Doodle Saturdays - Open challenge

Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge - Anything Goes

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
