Little Red Wagon #237 - How Charming!

Yes......I am rather late with my posting of last weeks challenge for........

but the reason is that we took a little mini break for a few days over to Niagara-on-the-Lake.

My intention was to take my laptop and put my post in order whilst we were there. Unfortunately my Wifi and Blogger decided not to co-operate with this idea...........so I gave up!

Till now, when I've just remembered that I still need to post it, preferably before tomorrow's challenge!

So here goes:

It was Jan's turn to host and she wanted to see a 'charm'........how charming!

Here's my effort:

And as the photo shows a pretty bad representation of the charm, here's a close-up:

Papers are oldies from Authentique........'Genuine' or 'Original'.......I can never remember which, and the charm is by Tim Holtz.

That's it from me but I'll be seeing you tomorrow for this weeks challenge.

Till then,

Best Friend.........

Hello all.......I've finally found my way back to blogger!

Thought I'd drop in with my weekly dose of cuteness from By LORI Designs, this time of the animal variety....well almost. Here's Lollipop Bear (times two!)............

Yep, I liked this little furry friend so much, I coloured him twice. Sorry for the glare on the photo.....it was taken rather late one night where a fair bit of extra lighting was needed!

So as mentioned, 'Lollipop Bear' was printed then flipped, scaled down slightly, and printed again. They're coloured with Prismacolour Pencils and papers are from the October Afternoon 'Campfire' 8"x8" pad. I added a Fiskars punch and wrapped a little 'Hemp' cord around there to finish off. The sentiment is another generous freebie from a while back, from Create With TLC.

That's about it....short and sweet, but if you'd like to check out some other cute Lollipop Bear creations, head over to the Lollipop Shop where the sister's have been 'doin their thang'!

Here's to another gloriously 'wet' day!

Take care

A sweet friendship.

Hi there, how's it going? Are we all enjoying this gloriously 'damp' weather here in Canada.....reminds me of being back home across the pond!

I have just the thing to cheer things up......a card of course, with this weeks deliciously sweet image from By LORI Designs. There was a new release of images a while ago, so over at the Lollipop Shop today, there's a showcase of wonderful eye candy, featuring these two sweet little ladies. Here's my version of the 'Lollipop Sisters'...............

I definitely have a thing for red!

Look what made an appearance...........my Prismacolour pencils! Yep I dusted them of as they were feeling a little negleted whilst I had my little fling with Copics recently. Glad I did as I like this card....love the colours and softness.

Papers are from the new 'Lime Twist' 6"x6" pad from My Minds Eye, together with a paper doily from Michael's. I also used a couple of Nestie's, a Fiskar's border punch, ribbon (also from Michael's), button (from my local scrapbook store TSF) and more of my Baker's twine....this time in green from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The sentiment is another wonderful freebie I picked up from Paulette, over at Create with TLC.

That's all folks, but maybe hop on over to the Lollipop Shop to check out the always beautiful creations from the other Lollipop Girls.

Have a great day

A friendship flower..........

Hi there.......just skipping in and out today with a fairly quick creation. This card was actually made for a super fun St. Paddy's Day Challenge over on the 'Two Scrapbook Friends' forum. The idea was to pick from a list of Irish related items, which were later translated into scrappy/craft products that you would have to include on your creation. A recipe challenge! My list included: Green Patterned Paper, Foam, Glimmer Mist, Lace and a charm. So, with these things in mind, here's what I ended up with............

First time I've tried one of these tissue paper flowers on a card......it took me back to JK days!

Now, I promised I would be mentioning you today.......yes YOU my scrappy friend Dee! I know exactly what you are thinking right now........this card is totally 'un'mailable......is that a word? lol

But you are right.....I agree. The flower stands out approx 3/4" so unless I feel inclined to create a box type of envelope (not!), it will be kept as the handing over in person type of thing.

So let's save our postage pennies Dee, but I must admit, it was fun to make!

Papers are from one of the new Jillibean Soup lines, by the way, and that's about it from me.

Skipping out and have a great day
