A Very Alice Halloween

Hello again.......another 'double post in one day' from me here!

This may become a habit.

The reason I'm in your face yet again, is that I really wanted to submit a couple of pages to the Let's Get Sketchy 'Get Inspired' magazine and you know me.......always last minute!

The deadline I believe is Wednesday, so you'll just have to put up with me again tomorrow for my second submission.

They have changed the rules slightly over at Let's Get Sketchy.....no more specific categories for submissions. They have however, included a new 'Mood Board' challenge (loved it and I'll get to that tomorrow!) and a Sketch challenge, where if you link up, winners will be included in the newest issue of the magazine.

Fingers crossed!

I managed to complete a few pages over the weekend whilst at a local fundraising crop, which means it's perfect timing for me to submit.

Today I'll be linking up to the Sketch challenge, so here is the assigned sketch which you can also find over on the 'magazine' blog:

I decided to rotate the Sketch 90 degrees CCW in order to accommodate my photograph which is from Halloween 2013.

A Very Alice Halloween

As mentioned previously on here, I'm thoroughly enjoying rediscovering 'old school' techniques and embellies, so I decided on embossing powder and a 'free hand' glue bottle for those circles.

There are layers of cut and torn paper here and there with just a touch of hand stitching.

Finally, I used my Silhouette to cut part of the title and a couple of tickets.

I dotted a few epoxy stickers around.......Heidi Swap if I remember correctly, and did you happen to notice the googly eyes?

Can't have a Halloween layout without googly eyes now can we?

That's all so I'm off to link up this baby, cross what needs to be crossed and wait!

Have a good evening and I'll see you tomorrow,

Little Red Wagon #209 - Halloween.

Hi there......still sticking to the plan here as it's Wednesday and I'm posting on time, yet again, for this weeks Little Red Wagon challenge!

Regan's turn to host this week, so of course it's that time of year when she had to choose the obvious........Halloween!

Let's see all your spooky creations.

Mine is really not spooky at all......far too cute to spook!

I dug out the pencils again for this one.  My youngest and I had a mini colouring session the other night - much fun.

Don't you just love it when a 7 year old sets to work with OCMS and blending sticks!  Very professional if it wasn't for the mass area of destruction that's usually left behind!  I can't say too much though as my desk usually bears a similar resemblance!

Digi is a hoarded creation from Pollycraft (that was!).

Now I'm sure you have at least one (or two, or three) Halloween creations just lying around, so head on over to the Little Red Wagon blog and link up.

The Girlfriends have more inspiration waiting there for you too.

Have a great day......don't overdo the candy on Thursday and I'll see you Friday for the final installment of this weeks plan.  I have to try and stick to it for one week at least!

See you soon,
Jayne.x.

Autumn Colours Blog Hop with Two Scrapbook Friends!

Welcome to the Autumn Colours Blog Hop with Two Scrapbook Friends!

You should have arrived here from the lovely Sharlene's blog, but if you've happened here by chance, you may want to start at the beginning to be in with a chance of winning a prize of course!

So the purpose of today's Blog Hop is to share a little 'Fall' crafty inspiration.

I decided to go the 'Halloween' route as I hardly ever make anything for this annual holiday.  I blame it on my roots, as we Brit's are not known for going to town on this celebration.

No holding back today though, I created a 'Halloween' style wall hanging.......could possibly be the only decoration of this style in my house on the 31st, but it's a start!

I realize it may be a little difficult to see a lot of detail on here, so here's a few close-ups..............

Papers and most of the embellishment stickers on here are from Authentique's 'Enchanted' collection, which you can of course find over at Two Scrapbook Friends.

That's it from me, so it's time to make your WAY over to Shelby's blog, where I know she'll have something wonderful waiting for you.

Before you go, a few things to remember:
Don't forget - in order to be entered to win a prize:
1. Leave a comment on all the blogs as you go and then go back to the Two Scrapbook Friends blog and leave a final comment there by October 8th at midnight..
2. To have a second chance to win, keep track of the RED HIGHLIGHTED WORDS from each blog and email the phrase to 2friends@execulink.com. Put "Blog Contest" in your subject line.
3. Check back at the Two Scrapbook Friends blog on October 10th to see if you are the winner. (Winners will not be contacted personally.)

Be sure to stop by each on the following blogs, leave a comment and keep track of the secret word!

OSAAT Challenge.........

Well, Sunday has rolled around again....thought it might.....and that means it's time for a new challenge over at the OSAAT Challenge Blog. The theme may not be too obvious, so I'll give you a BIG clue..........

Can ya guess what it is yet? (said in the voice of Rolf Harris if anyone remembers!). Yes, of course it's.....SPOOKY, so what a great opportunity to get done, all those Halloween projects you've been putting off for the last month.

This is my DT creation of course, using some of the latest release of 'fright'fully spooky chaps from Stitchy Bear Stamps, which you can find in the store right here. You'll most definitely be wanting to hop over to OSAAT this week as there are numerous, yes numerous, prizes up for grabs. There's also a few more little fun games occurring throughout the week, with even more goodies on offer, so don't miss out.

So for my card and treat bag tag, I didn't have to handle a single colouring implement. Aaahhh, easy life! I used some hand made paper and a wooden skull (I found at the dollar store), on the card, and thought it would be pretty neat to add a sucker on there. The plastic skull on the tag is another dollar store find. DP's are from Basic Grey's Eerie line.

This card will be haunting the following challenges:

The Pixie Cottage - #38 Sketch and/or orange

Aud Sentiments Chalenge Blog - #12 Use any Halloween Sentiment

If The Shoe Fits Scrap It - #49 Orange

Elephantastic Cards and Crafts - #14 Black and Orange

Stamp Scrap and Doodle Saturdays - Open challenge

Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge - Anything Goes

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Bewitched...........

Well, I made a Halloween card.....which will probably sit in my closet forevah!!!!! I don't think I have ever, and probably will never, send a card to someone for Halloween. Maybe it's just the 'Brit' in me? So why did I make it........for a challenge of course......and an excuse to colour Mo Mannings Bella and Bronte in 'Trick or Treat'. Here they are........

I love Bronte's costume.....ingenious!

So originally, I made this for the 'Halloween Hoots' challenge over at the Digital Pencil Too challenge blog. That was until I got home from work last night, checked the post and realised Mr Linky had already retired for the evening! Oh dear....most unlike me to be late for something!!

Oh well, never fear, there are a few other challenges this will be heading into........

Crazy 4 Challenges #52 - Use lattice in some form.....I used star shaped brads and black embroidery floss to create mine.

Crafty Cardmakers - Glitter and Sparkle..........I used black glitter on Bella's cloak (which I am not really happy with, but.....you live and learn!), and also white around the moon.

Cupcake Craft Challenges - Let's get Digital......obviously!

So, I coloured with Prisma's and Gamsol, DP's are from Basic Grey's Eerie line and that's about it.

Just a quick reminder, as I don't think it was mentioned on the OSAAT challenge blog last week...........as well as the usual Sunday challenge, there is a Saturday 'sneak peak' contest starting this week, with goodies up for grabs.

Enjoy.
